Massey Ferguson Tractors
The origins of Massey Ferguson tractors go back to Daniel Massey's workshop in Ontario, Canada. Massey Ferguson farm equipment, considered to be one of the leading selling brands, was bought by AGCO in 1995, but has remained a recognizable brand name.
The brand has been renowned to invent and develop the farm equipment that changed the face of the industry. It all started with the first mechanical thresher and gave way to tractors production among which MF135 and MF399 are considered to be the top sellers. Soon enough the company products have been valued for their quality, reliability and innovative solutions. In 1992 they introduced a new technology and released a combine that allowed farmers to map yield while harvesting, with the use of Global Positioning System. Nowadays, Massey Ferguson plants are located all around the world, in Europe, Australia, the USA and Canada. The company has over 5.000 dealers in 140 countries and their tractors are farmers' major choice.
In spite of the fact that Massey Ferguson has been taken over by AGCO, the name is still well recognizable as a brand. It is associated with the “Ferguson System”, coming as a fruit of cooperation between the company founders: Daniel Massey, Harry Ferguson and Alason Harris. The system is based on the will to create reliable, innovative and cost efficient machines that would come up to farmers' expectations and requirements.
