Liebherr company has been making the construction machinery since 1949. The company began manufacturing process with building a tower crane. The machine came as a big success and as a result, the company began to broaden their product list. It now includes some of the top quality construction machinery that is available on the market. One of the most popular vehicles that the company manufactures are Liebherr excavators, also referred to as diggers. Liebherr launches two types of excavators, of wheeled and crawler type. Both kinds of machines are hydraulically controlled and have been built with the preservation of highest quality standards. Liebherr can also boast their own drive-line technology as all the machines have diesel engines and custom hydraulics. The wheeled excavators are often used for large projects, including civil engineering, demolition and mining. At present, there are 8 different wheeled models available. The smallest one is the A900 C Litronic. Its operating weight ranges up to 42,800 pounds with a 129 HP engine. The largest of wheeled diggers is the A974 B Litronic Material Handler model, whose operating weight varies from 259,300 to 280,000 pounds.
