John Deere 8400 tractors
is a worldwide recognized company specializing in manufacturing agricultural, constructing and forestry equipment. In any of those categories you can find a multitude of different machines and each and every one of them is considered to be efficient, productive and trustworthy. John Deere keeps surprising the clients with always expanding offer. Even Deere’s products that have long stopped being produced are still used and – as the matter of fact – still really popular and sought for.
One of such products is John Deere 8400. This row-crop tractor produced from 1995 to 1999 in Waterloo, Iowa, can be spotted on farms and fields all around the world. This model comes in two variants – 8400 and 8400T. The first one is a wheeled tractor, while the second one is a crawler – to suit whatever a client may need them for. Both variants are equipped with a John Deere 8.1L 6-cyl diesel engine and two batteries of 12 volt. 8400, slightly bigger than previous 8300, measures 116.1 inches in wheelbase and weighs from 18709 to 29562 pounds. It is moderately big, but it can still easily fit any garage. It is also equipped with 4x4 MFWD 4WD chassis and 3/3N three-point hitch controlled with electro-hydraulic draft sensing. John Deere 8400’s claimed PTO equals 225 hp and was tested at 252.21 hp, while the power on drawbar was tested at 202.28 hp. As a standard both variants of John Deere 8400 come with CommandView Cab, while optionally they can also have Row-track guidance.
As all John Deere products are durable, reliable and easy to maintain, used John Deere 8400 machines often come in good shape and a reasonable price.
